So I haven't been that active in here lately since I've been really busy with my school.
But Life's great
The school is really fun and I enjoy it though we're very busy mostly. I won't go into detail about what we've been doing because we get a new teacher and subject each week so there's a lot to talk about hehe.

I just wanted to let you know I'm not dead.

well... you know... I got the letter from the school and... well it wasn't really THE letter but it was more like "so like we can't really tell you yet but you'll be having a spot here if you still like at the end of july so..."

....................... huh?

wait that means I got accepted to the animation workshop!!?
yup!

WOOOO

so YES I really got accepted so for the next three and a half year I'll be studying animation at a pretty great animation school here in Denmark!
that's just awesome...

AWESOME! so cool!

and most of my friends from the drawing academy got accepted too so that's great! many congrats to them!

Feels really really good to have passed that. I'm nervous about the outcome but at least I can't do anything about it anymore

The written test went well I think.
I had three hours for three assignments.
main theme = HOUSE PAINTER
sentence which must be included anyway = seen something you shouldn't have

1- a storyboard
2- character design
3- backgrounds design.

I drew some stuff that looked okay. not my best but not my worst either.
I came up with a sort of wierd story for the storyboard but maybe they liked it...

I don't really know how the interview went... I think it went okay. the people were friendly and nice and I think my english was okay too. They praised a lot of my drawings but I don't really know whether they liked ME... The interview is more to get an impression of what kinda person I am and I don't really know how that went.

Well anyway! I'm done! finished! And it feels great!
so let's celebrate! how? well let's make a little drawing competition.(no one's probably gonna go for it though )

it can be anyway and with any style you want. everything allowed. but it must include him as the main thing in the submission

The dead line will be a month from now: 21st of may
after the deadline I'll look though the submissions and pick a winner.

The price: any kind of animation or drawing. It can be anything! no restrictions at all!

hello and a late happy easter

Well just before the holiday(about a week or more ago) I recieved a notice from the animation school that they would like to see some more of me. So I have a test on friday and an interview on monday!

Woohoo

I passed the first part of the application and I'm really proud of that. Most of the people from the drawing academy, who applied themselves, have been called in for a test and interview so that's awesome. Really happy for them and it means If I get accepted I might go with some of my friends with the school aswell.

anyway I'm a little nervous about it all but mostly because I'm not quite sure how it's going to happen. I know that the test on friday is a three hours drawing test but I don't know if we draw some theme or assignment or if we get a couple of assignments that we must finish before the end of the test... I've heard a bit of both so I'm kinda confused but I'll try and gather some more info before friday.
The interview is half an hour where they go through my portfolio and just talk with me to get a feeling of what kind of person I am.

Ugh I shouldn't try and make fun titles for these journals...

what I mean to say is that when I send my application for the animation school in March I have to send my portfolio with that application. I first thought I had to bring the portfolio when I was called in by the school so I suddenly got a bit stressed.
it also sucks a bit because I won't be able to use what I have made at the end of this half year of drawing school... I can only use what I have made in these days up until the application day... meaning that when school is done and I'm all super-awesome and unbeatable at drawing.... I can't use that until next year(If I don't get in this year offcourse)

why should you know this?
firstly --> because I wanted to write something in my journal
secondly --> because you can expect to see some of the croquis and long time studies I have been making during these three weeks.
the school should have a big scanner for these things and it should be okay for us students to use it. So since I will start on my portfolio on monday, I should have scanned some stuff in soon.
but I'll have to ask the teacher if it's okay to upload them since I have been drawing a model... I wouldn't like to have my naked body on the internet but I think they have agreed on it when they agreed to be models. so I don't think there will be any problems.

but yes that was it! In short: since I will be busy working on my protfolio you may expect to see something of it here on DA
